Red Velvet Cake Ingredients-

  • All-purpose flour-2 cups(340g)
  • Cornstarch- ¼ cup (35g)
  • Cocoa powder-2 tablespoon
  • Baking soda- 1 teaspoon
  • Salt- ¾ teaspoon
  • Salted butter- 1/2 cup
  • Sugar- 425g
  • Oil- 1cup
  • Eggs- 3
  • Vanilla extract- 2 teaspoons
  • Vinegar- 1 teaspoon
  • Red food color- 3 tablespoons
  • Buttermilk- 1 cup

Frosting Ingredients-

  • Block cream cheese- (450g)
  • Unsalted butter- (220g)
  • Sugar- 2 cups
  • Vanilla extract- 2 teaspoons
  • Salt- as per taste

How To Make Red Velvet Cake-

  1. Take the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt and mix them together in a large bowl.
  2. Now, take a stand mixer, fit it with the paddle attachment, combine oil and sugar, and beat them for 2 minutes. Then, add eggs one by one, beating the paste until light and fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla extract and food color and mix well.
  4. Now mix buttermilk and vinegar.
  5. Add the dry ingredients and the buttermilk and vinegar, then mix it well until there is no lump in it.
  6. Preheat the oven and prepare your pan. Grease the pan with oil; put parchment paper, pour the batter into the pan, and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Insert a toothpick in the cake and check if the cake is ready or not. If your toothpick is completely clean, it is not well at all; this means the cake is ready.
  8. Now let the cake cool down, let it cool down, and we will make the cake frosting.

To Make The Frosting:

  1. To make the chocolate frosting, simply take butter and cheese in an electric mixer bowl and beat them on medium-high speed until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add sugar, beat this paste, add vanilla and salt, and keep beating until soft, smooth, and fluffy.
  3. Now we put a thick layer of frosting over the cake.
  4. Store a cake in the fridge for frosting cool and set correctly.
  5. You should remove the cake from the fridge before serving so that it is soft.
